MotoConcepts Racing: ANAHEIM 1 SX Report
SPOKANE, WA (January 3, 2015) – In the opening round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Anaheim, CA, Mike Alessi (#800/450) came out with a full head of steam representing the Smartop MotoConcepts team well. He was able to grab multiple Holeshots throughout the night, not a surprise, in both the Heat race and Main event. What may come as a surprise to some is this was Alessi’s very first Main event holeshot in Anaheim, a personal goal of his.
Alessi finished inside the top 10 in front of the respectable Davi Millsaps and Chad Reed. Some may think his 9th place finish is mediocre, but the team views his performance as a valiant effort and solid start to the 2015 season as he gains valuable points to propel towards a hopeful top 5 finish in the season.
